Apple isn’t my favorite but God brought me to Apple
iPhone, Mac's, iPad, iCloud. These are all things that are part of the Apple ecosystem. People love it. Apple made it super easy to stay in the ecosystem and the thing is, it doesn't suck to stay. They offer top tier products with top tier services and experiences. Now they offer budget friendly options. So why wouldn't you stay? Well I have a few reasons I don't want to stay. Woah, one thing before I continue, I don't hate Apple. But it wasn't always my favorite. Alright lets keep going.
One, my career. I work a lot with Microsoft products and work within the Microsoft ecosystem. Because of that it was easier for me to use Windows.
Another reason is I didn't like the fact that I would be stuck with one company. Being stuck with Apple means that it would be easier to use Apple products but i didnt' really like that idea. So I tried to not get stuck in one ecosystem. Also, everyone liked Apple so I didn't want to use it. I dont know why, but other people liking something always made me not want to use it.
After all of this, I am now using and deciding to stay in the Apple ecosystem. And well its because of God.
God brought me to Apple through my fiancé. I met the love of my life two years ago and we got engaged last year. And as a Christian we keep God in the center of our relationship. And I wanted to make it easy for us as a family. And my fiancé is a huge Apple user, she had an iPhone for the longest time, and she uses a Mac for work and her personal life, and she uses an iPad. She even voiced to me that she wants to stay with Apple. Because of that I decided to stay with Apple and use their products. I’ll be honest it wasn’t the hardest decision, because I do like Apple. Like I mentioned in the beginning they make great products, both hardware and software and it doesn’t suck to be with Apple. But because God blessed me with the love of my life, and because of that I am actively choosing to stay with Apple. To use their product, stay in the ecosystem, even if it makes it difficult in the long run. I am choosing to stay in the ecosystem and find workarounds when I use products outside the ecosystem. Was this a hard decision? Not really but I am happy to make it.
